Preschool days are filled with games, songs, art, shared stories, dramatic play and hands-on activities that will form the basis of later academic achievement, independence and social development. Everything in the preschool, from the set-up of the room to the flow of the day, encourages children to explore their world, express themselves creatively, and learn to co-exist peacefully with peers. Our preschool, licensed by the State of Vermont, participates in the state tuition assistance program. Two-day, three-day and five-day options are available.

This multi-age class is a true community of learners. Themes of study are both teacher-initiated and emergent from ideas that arise within the group. Students work independently at a variety of learning centers, share their writing and ideas with one another, and work together on cooperative projects both small and large. The day is structured to allow for student choice, with expectations clearly established and goals developed between individual students and teachers to help children become independent, lifelong learners. At this age technology and media literacy begins as students learn to use cameras, software and computers for some of their school work.
